Brina, I was captivated by this story. I’m in awe of the kindness of the stranger on the bus and her wisdom. I’m interested to know if you kept in touch with her? Thanks for sharing your beautiful story.
Btw - I’d love to chat further about potential collaboration for my podcast. I’m about to subscribe so you will have my email address. Feel free to connect when you get a chance and we can discuss more!
Thank you so much, Hannah! Suchita and I did keep in touch through WhatsApp in the following months, but unfortunately, we've lost contact since. I'll never forget her, though.
Great! I appreciate you reaching out about that. I'll email you shortly :)
What a beautiful story, Brina! And how courageous of you to travel alone through India (or maybe it's my stereotypical view?). I like your reflective way and how you focus on the lessons we get to learn along the way on our travels. Looking forward to discovering more through your eyes! :)
Thank you so much for the kind words, Monica! India is definitely one of those countries that's considered unsafe (esp for solo females). I found myself initially more guarded than in Europe and the states for sure (lots of scammers) & my family was very worried/hesitant from the beginning. But I was taken aback by how warm and inviting everyone was. And also how many other solo females I met along the way. Travel is full of so many surprises! So glad to connect with you and looking forward to reading more of your writing, as well 😊
What a great read. Felt like I was sitting on the bus with you while reading this!
Thank you for the kind words, Jasmine! :)
